The resort sits at an impressive altitude of 1,600 meters and has a vertical drop of 700 meters, making it one of the highest ski resorts in the Oku Mino area. Its location enhances skiing and provides stunning views of the Northern Alps, Mount Ontakesan, and Hakusan Mountains. Visitors are treated to a picturesque landscape of snow-covered peaks and lush valleys, making every run truly unforgettable. One of Meiho Ski Resort’s standout features is its emphasis on beginner-friendly slopes. Over 80% of the trails cater to novices and intermediate skiers, with the famous Alpha 5000 being a highlight. This gentle slope is 5,000 meters long, leading from the top of the mountain to the base of the resort. This offers a great chance for beginners to try skiing starting from the peak. The resort also provides quality ski rental services, ensuring visitors have access to the best equipment for their skiing experience.

The resort features Meiho Snow Land, one of the largest children’s ski areas in western Japan. It offers a safe space for kids to learn and play. Ticket price: 1-day admission ticket ¥5,800 for adults and ¥2,400 for children

Full rental sets are priced at ¥5,500 for adults and ¥4,500 for children

Tourists arriving by train can access a free shuttle bus service from Hida Takayama and Gujo-Hachiman, but prior reservations are required.

A 1 hour and 43 minute (110 km) drive from Nagoya station and a 2 hour and 14 minute (154 km) drive from Chubu Central International Airport.
